Samenvatting

This study set out to provide important insights into the reasons underlying international differences in child pedestrian injury rates. Specifically, as international differences in pedestrian mortality may reflect international differences in children's traffic exposure reather than different public health responses, this study sought to assess and monitor international differences in children's traffic exposure so that valid cross-sectional comparisons of child pedestrian injury rates could be made.
