This publication is based on the report on trends in international traffic and infrastructural needs discussed at the Lausanne Session (21st-22nd'May 1986) of the Council of Ministers of the ECMT, a report drawn up after testing various scenarios established on the basis of data compiled from a questionnaire on international traffic forecasts. Accordingly, the following information is also given in the Annexes. 1. The statistical bases used for the different scenarios and 2. A summary of the replies to the questionnaire on international traffic forecasts.
