Road and transport authorities in the North European countries have initiated a co-operation called MANS. The overall objective of MANS is to explore the possibilities of establishing interoperable payment of transport services in the North European countries. MANS will work out a number of guidelines that will be the foundation of a North European MoU of Interoperability between North European EFC systems. The MoU will describe the fundamental principles of MANS interoperability including recommendations for contractual relationships for toll road operators that want to be interoperable. (A*)
