Samenvatting
The impact sound insulation rating according to the Dutch standard "Geluidwering in woningen" (Sound insulation in dwellings) has appeared to be an inadequate measure for the impact sound insulating quality of a floor. The results of the ISO impact sound transmission measurements are discussed and the way how rating values are properly used is explained.
