Samenvatting
Six areas of research are highlighted; Trunk road planning, problems related to overtaking on two- lane roads. A major road system being built under the water, various types of bridges for crossing wide and deep fjords, and a new road data bank and the new systems for computer- assisted planning. The new road data bank that is being built up on a highly decentralized pattern is one of the most important parts of internal system. An interactive planning system has also been developed, consisting of an integrated set of computer programs.
