Samenvatting
The main areas of research in Switzerland are outlined. Details are given of road data banks recently developed, which are computer based and have become indispensible in road maintenance management. An investigation was undertaken to study the safety of two- lane motorways. In the area of information techniques and communication with the users, the use of telecommunication and its application to transport was analyzed.
