The observation of the behaviour of drivers in some real traffic situations seems the best way to validate one or more forms of a traffic knowledge test. To do so it has to be well established that one or more traffic problems which appeal to a good knowledge of the traffic rules, will occur so often in each traffic situation that it is possible to make a reliable comparison between the driver's behaviour in practice and in theory. In This investigation an inventory of the problems a driver meets during a drive is made to decide which problems are suited for this comparison.
