A brief survey covering a period of several years in the field of traffic safety is presented. 90 most endangered motorway sections have been identified and the predominant type of accident at each of these places has been found. Road elements and road environment leading to an accident have been identified and concrete measures for their improvement as well as the financial means to be invested are suggested,
