Samenvatting
A design and experimental study of traffic control devices, carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, engineers, and graphic designers is described. The work encompasses an appreciation of the background and operation of uniform traffic control devices, an extensive series of laboratory investigations, road tests, and a substantive group of graphic design exercises. A discussion is added.
