Samenvatting

Despite the efforts to improve road safety, accident rates in many countries, mostly developing, still continue at an unacceptably high level. Much work remains to be done to properly identify the factors which may contribute to accident occurrence and correctly identify the necessary remedial measures and their effectiveness. However, the cost to society of these accidents continues to be very large with fatalities constituting the majority of this cost. The aim of this paper is (1) investigate the recent characteristics of fatalities in Kuwait and (2) develop an accident prediction model for fatalities using time-series approach. (A)
