Samenvatting
From the different methods of data acquisition it was not possible to give exact data of the efficiency of the use of crash helmets by moped riders and of the use of safety belts by vehicle occupants. The SWOV has made a calculation by which it was possible to estimate this efficiency. During 1971-1977 about 900 lifes could have been saved by crash helmets and 1500 lifes could have been saved bij safety belts.
