The five-year first phase project was completed by March 1996 with a conference and a demonstration. Nine passenger car manufacturers participated in this project. In April 1996, another five-year second phase was launched. In this second phase project, bus, truck and motorcycle manufacturers were invited. New aspects in this second phase are human interface and cooperation with infrastructure.
