Samenvatting

Reference architectures have been developed to support the interoperation of different classes and multiple instances of Intelligent Transport Systems [ITS]. This paper proposes principles for ITS interoperation, based on the declaration of services required by the client module and provided by the server module, and the quality of service and other constraints to be applied to that service. A service is a collection of features in a plug-and-socket configuration. This work is based on recently published work on software component-based development. A set of principles is stated for ITS operation based on collections of standardised services. (Author/publisher) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E209471.
