During 1978 there was, for the first time since years, no fatal accident in which a member of the personnel of The Nederlandse Spoorwegen was involved, nor at the work, nor at home. The number of injuries decreased slightly in the same period. The average absenteeism per accident, decrease from 26.1 days to 23.4 days.
