Jack knifing on a crowded highway only takes a few seconds but can provide the driver and everyone else involved with a lifetime of nightmares. In Canada a prototype of a 5th wheel assembly with an integral anti-jack knifing device is developed. The device ties into the air brake system, but precise details are not yet available.
