Due to a change in the school system in the Netherlands a number of small primary schools, in particular in low density areas, but also in older residential areas, were closed and their pupils had to go to other schools. The general tendency was, apart from creating better equipped institutions, to enlarge the size of the individual school. Problems of accessibility of the new school and traffic safety are studied and the results are presented. See also B 27991 and B 26753.
