Samenvatting
This brochure provides statistics, in the form of tables and graphics, of the registrated numbers of fatalities, in-patients, and casualties requiring hospital Accident & Emergency treatment in the Netherlands, for 2002 and preceding years. The real numbers of these three groups are also given using a new extrapolation method, for 2001 and preceding years. In the brochure, fatalities and in-patients are categorised according to mode of transport, age and province. The brochure also contains a number of tables and graphics of registrated casualties of accidents involving delivery vans and/or lorries. The number of fatalities in 28 countries (including Australia, USA, and Japan) are also provided, for the 1986-2001 period.
