Samenvatting
Junctions play an important role in the practice of Dutch planning and many policy issues can be related to them. A systematic analysis of the concept of junctions is necessary to fully comprehend the concept, which is therefore better manageable. This paper initiates various ways to do this. First of all, three dimensions of a junction are described: the transport component, the spatial-economic component, and the level of planning. Next, a description is given of how to handle the spatial-economic dimension. Finally, some policy issues are mentioned in relation to the concept of junctions. (A)
