Samenvatting
How does a new urban road affect traffic streams past a shopping area and how does that in turn affect sales? A before-and-after study in Arnhem should throw light upon this matter. The first part of the study has been completed. Roadside counts and interviews among shoppers were conducted in August/September 1983. Fifty percent of all cars passing through the area carry potential customers. One in seven cars is there for shopping purposes.
