One of the themes of the seminar was the subject of the understanding and the development of vehicles braking and steering characteristics. The following papers were presented: Some laws of nature involved in accident causation (Strandberg, L.); Practical tests of car road manners (Sundfeldt, B.); Development of studded tyres which cause less road surface wear and have better gripping ability (Nilsson, H.); Demands on anti-lock braking system during winter conditions (Nordström, O.); Development of safer heavy vehicles (Gardell, L.).
