It is concluded that we have today some efficient counter-measures, possibilities to estimate the cost of road accidents, to estimate the size of the road accident problem and the accident reduction. But we have to improve co-operation between authorities, to avoid statistical pitfalls, to use the various and to realise the secondary effects of countermeasures.
