Samenvatting
The study indicates that health hazards and turnover of professional truck drivers are caused by severe work- strain. Apparently the combination of several strain- factors is essential. Although these strain- factors arise out of job specific reasons, irregular time schedules have a strong impact on leisure time. Consequently there exist patterns of multi- morbidity which result into the turnover of professional truck drivers.
