The bicycle, the motorcycle and the moped in Belgium are pinpointed. For the tree categories the ownership, the accidents the road infrastructure and the legislation which is in force are mentioned. The importance of driver education on accident prevention is discussed. The insurance of the civil responsibility of the drivers of two wheeled vehicles is given. A survey of the situation of two- wheeled vehicles in different European countries is presented.
