Samenvatting

This paper illustrates the applicability of the Asphalt-Aggregate Mixture Analysis System (AAMAS) design procedures to asphalt concrete mixes under Canadian conditions. The paper shows how three asphalt concrete mixes were evaluated for resistance to rutting, moisture damage, thermal cracking, and fatigue cracking. The effects of different laboratory compaction techniques on the evaluating criteria are also discussed. (A)
