Samenvatting

The focus of this paper is part of an on-going research project regarding the driver's dynamic route choice/switching behavior interacting with the in-vehicle dynamic route guidance systems. The major topic investigated in this paper is a preliminary study to understand the compliance behavior of various drivers. The effort is performed through controlled laboratory experiments from which selected sample drivers' interaction with supplied simulated traffic conditions are observed and recorded. Statistical analysis is then applied to explore the drivers performance including factorial analysis and principle component analysis. Experimented display patterns used in this experiment were selected representative systems currently available with some modifications.
