Six types of evidential breath testing (EBT) machines were tested in a laboratory.The testing experiments are classified into three paragraphs: analytical performance, sampling and operating conditions. In order to characterize the analytical performance a set of parameters was established. The results were, in general, good, although an underestimation of the actual vapour concentration was observed.
