Samenvatting

A considerable amount of research has been undertaken in the last decade on land use traffic generation. Papers presented at the ARRB Conferences in 1980 and 1984 have documented the research in New South Wales. A recent review of this research identified perceived deficiencies: understanding of the process within which the current guidelines should be used, linked trips, seasonal variations and further land- uses to be surveyed. The temporal stability of data sources was of particular interest, as was the question of developing a wider data base.
