Samenvatting

India's first electronic toll collection (ETC) system and dedicated two-wheeler toll facility were opened in 2001 on the DND Flyway outside India. The DND Flyway comprises a 552-m main bridge, three minor bridges, 6 km of approach roads and the river training works for the Yamuna river. The toll plaza consists of 27 lanes, six of which are for motorcycles. Payment can be by cash payment or smart cards. The plaza layout and lane logic were designed and planned by Intertoll. The single-file lanes designed for motorcycles are outlined. The Silver Lanes and Gold Lanes, respectively reserved for motorcycles with silver passes and motorists with gold passes, and the mixed lanes are described. Each passage and transaction is uniquely identified within a double-entry accounting system. For the covering abstract see ITRD E115762.
