Samenvatting
This article describes the technology involved in two systems of sensors for toll collection, TrafficLaser SingleLane and TrafficLaser MultiLane from Kapsch TrafficCom AG, Austria. SingleLane provides a lane controller with information about position and dimensions of all types of passing vehicles in a single lane environment. MultiLane focuses on managing high speed and adverse weather conditions. Laser scanners have been designed to measure the geometry of vehicles individually and the information is passed to the controller system. For the covering abstract see ITRD E118381.
