Samenvatting

The results of steering reversals and lateral placement of vehicles driven by 10 subjects across a simulated bridge with variable shoulder width are presented. Based on these findings, it would appear that a minimum shoulder width of 4 to 6 ft would be required in order not to influence traffic operations.
