Samenvatting
The main purpose of this article is to show how the traffic psychologists estimate the problems of traffic education to young children and which forms of research can give a useful contribution in this area. Four main sources of misunderstanding in traffic education are discussed. (1) incorrect estimation of the mental development (2) negligence of the difference between knowledge and behaviour (3) a discrepation between the acquired knowledge and reality and (4) the irrelevance of the acquired knowledge.
