The dynamic equilibrium of vehicles is determined by the soil reactions of the 4 tyres and by numerous reactions of the air on each of the components of the vehicle. The variety of aerodynamic disturbances on motorways is very important, especially in underpasses and on bridges. Wind tunnel tests led to an improved knowledge of aerodynamic phenomena and their influence of safety.
