Samenvatting
Traumatic ruptures of the aorta are seen after traffic accidents. Formation of a false aneurysm is a favourable possibility permitting survival for a variable period of time. The clinical and radiological aspects are analysed and attention is drawn to the specific signs by which failure to diagnose false traumatic aneurysms of the aorta can be avoided.
