Samenvatting
The influencing of traffic signals in favour of public transit is gaining increasing importance. Three components are required for its realization: a system to provide special phases, a control system and a control process. With the development and installation of computer- controlled command and control systems for public transit, and in comparison to conventional systems, all three components represent new technical and, above all, economic ways of influencing traffic signals in favour of public transit in a rational and effective manner.
