Samenvatting
A worldwide survey of light rail transit systems and specific details of many of these operations are given. General principles of the application of light rail technology are derived from some of these applications. It is noted that the design and subsystem components for the guideway, as well as the power distribution technology exist presently. The vehicle necessary to implement this technology is currently in design or is being manufactured in different countries.
