Samenvatting
This article presents data in the mileage of motorways, road traffic, and road accidents and casualties in the principal countries of Western Europe. The annual costs of road accidents is quoted and a study made of the frequency and nature of motorway accidents. The economic and social benefits of motor lighting are discussed.
