Samenvatting
A 17- km length of the Avenida Brasil in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil is provided with a lighting system which consists of 20- meter light poles each supporting four luminaries containing metal halide lamps. The columns are located on the central reserve and spaced 60 metres apart. The design of the luminaries is described and illustrated.
