The study deals with the recording of traffic accidents and the use of traffic accident data in towns. The accident records for towns include accidents which have taken place both in streets and local roads. In towns accidents which have taken place on public roads are noted in two of every three accident data bases. In other communes accidents which have taken place on public roads were recorded in nearly every data base and accidents on local roads in two of three data bases.
