Samenvatting
In the summary of discussions (presented in English and French) is stated that inductive inference is a mode of thinking that leads from particular data to general knowledge. The philosophical problems involved are first mentioned, but most of the discussions focused on the statistical tools used in the field of traffic safety. Progress achieved in this matter over the last years are stressed, in particular the use of log- linear models.
