Samenvatting
Car/truck accidents represent an essential focal point of the overall accident occurrences. The accident characteristics and the resulting consequences are described on the basis of 1,111 car/truck collisions. The description of the accident was effected by indication of the kinds of accidents and mainly by defined "collision types", reflecting the relative position of car and truck under kinematic aspects at the moment of collision. The importance of "collision types"with regard to frequency and resulting injury consequences is discussed.
