The logistician uses several methods in order to give an answer to the questions of the management of the firm. However the management's interest in what the logistician can do to the benefit of the firm is not always the same. It seemed to be a function of the demand elasticity and the occurrence of economics of scale in production. The traffic planner until now described only extreme situations in transport markets.
