From the low-floor streetcar to the low-floor system.

This short article describes the modifications to bus and tram design made by the city of Kassel, Germany, to improve accessibility of public transport to disabled people. Brief details of both vehicles with low floors and of bus or tram stops with raised platforms are provided.
