Samenvatting

Lower limb injuries are mostly severe in motorcycle crashes. No protective measures concerning the lower limb have been suggested. The protection that seems to be the most efficient would be a lateral shield, stream lined, rigid enough to resist lateral shocks, aerodynamically designed and with padding material.
