Samenvatting
When designing bicycle facilities like cycle paths the dimensions of the cross-section are essential. The author states that comfort and safety of cycle traffic are dependent on aspects like overtaking and meeting oncoming cyclists and moped riders. Computer simulations have been carried out and show that the models are useful in forecasting the process of overtaking and oncoming cycle traffic.
