The aim of the paper is the determination of the degree of real endangering of pedestrians caused by different types of vehicle front contours, respectively their elements to give a line of order for the employment of use value oriented measures. The analysis of real traffic accidents gives the opportunity of the investigation of biomechanical layout priorities for the single vehicle elements.
