Samenvatting
The use of polycarbonates for lighting enclosures, traffic lights, road sign and similar equipment is discussed as well as the physical properties and fabrication advantages of Makrolon polycarbonates. This group of thermoplastics displays considerable rigidity, high mechanical strength, good dielectric properties and a high stability over a wide temperature range. They are readily machined and can be produced in transparent, ultraviolet stabilised grades.
