Man-machine interface in the urban clean air car design.

Major human factors aspects of the man-vehicle interaction are emphasized. Empirically established principles involving display-control compatibility, population stereotypes, and spatial relationships were incorporated into the design, resulting in a viable and efficient configuration. Aspects of the design, including displays, labels, and switches, are adaptable to current passenger vehicles.
