Man-machine systems : information, control, and decision models of human performance.

An attempt is made to bridge the gap between engineering and the behavioural sciences by translating relevant aspects of behaviour into engineering terms. In particular, a series of man-machine models based, successively, on information theory, control theory, and decision theory, are presented.
