A Markovian analysis of urban travel behavior : pattern response by socioeconomic-occupational groups. Paper presented at the 48th Annual Meeting of Highway Research Board HRB, Washington, D.C., January 1969.

The authors analyzed the urban travel behaviour of the individuals grouped into categories of similar socioeconomic occupational class. Three travel behaviour sets were developed and analyzed using trip linkage distributions generated by Markov chain analysis; significant differences between travel patterns for the three groups were defined.
