Research is needed in the transportation fields. Los Angeles has proposed the funding of an exclusive grade-separated subway that is expected to provide 6000 seats an hour during peak traffic. A number of problems in bus and other rapid transit modes need resolution before peak hours become less congested and time-consuming.
